District Clergy Breakfast at Asbury UMC - coffee at 9 am, breakfast at 9:30 followed by program. Dismissal by 11:30.
February 11
the Cabinet will host Call to Ministry, a one day retreat at Gretna Glen for high school students who may be considering a possible call to professional ministry. Pastors are invited to submit names and addresses of students they know of to the DS; students will then receive an invitation from Bishop Peggy Johnson to the retreat. Students who are interested may also contact the DS directly.

Februry 26
Bishop Peggy Johnson will offer two opportunities to hear about the current state of the annual conference. At 3 pm, she will be at Bethany UMC in Wescosville, and at 7 pm she will repeat the program at Mt. Pocono UMC for those on the northern tier of the district. Come hear about the annual conference and how we are planning to deal with the financial challenges ahead. Laity and clergy are invited.

Looking for continuing education units to meet your requirement? Consider Moravian Seminary's continuing education workshop with Rev. Dr. Gil Rendle, UMC pastor, member of our conference, and retired consultant with Alban Institute.
March 16-17
Christ Servant Ministry training on the Northeast District at Asbury UMC - basic course and advanced course in caring. Check the CSM website for registration info, or call the district office for directions for registration.
April 15
District Conference will be held this afternoon at Wesley UMC in Bethlehem. Join us as we hear about the proposals coming before General Conference in two weeks, and as we elect district lay leaders and committee members for the next four years. And (hopefully) meet our new district superintendent.
April 24 - May 5
General Conference in Tampa, FL. This is the policy setting body for the UMC that meets once every four years. Please keep our conference delegation in your prayers for wisdom and discernment as the6 participate in setting the direction for our denomination for the next four years. Judy Ehninger and Tom Gibson form our district are lay delegates. Rev. Yocum is an alternate and will be attending along with a group from Moravian Seminary.
May 10
Retiree luncheon for pastors retiring this year.
June 5
District clergy breakfast. Goodbyes to clergy departing the district. Coffee and registration at 9 am, Breakfast at 9:30, followed by program and communion. Dismissal by 11:30 am.
June 6
District night at the Iron Pigs. We will add $1 to the ticket price and all proceeds will benefit No More Malaria.

Transition workshop at the annual conference for pastors changing appointments July 1.
